DENVER (AP) — The mood in Denver was subdued, as expected, with fans downcast and police reporting few problems after the Seattle Seahawks beat the Broncos 43-8 in the Super Bowl.
In Seattle, people in some neighborhoods blocked traffic, and in downtown a line of cars stretched for blocks as people cheered.
Seattle police were out in large numbers in many neighborhoods.
In the University District, near the University of Washington, fire crews extinguished at least one bonfire after rowdy fans set a couch and other items ablaze. The Seattle Times reported that there was one arrest in the area.
