SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) — Two convicted sex offenders have pleaded not guilty to raping and killing four women while wearing GPS monitors.
The Orange County Register reports (http://bit.ly/1p7l3Mn) that 27-year-old Franc Cano and 45-year-old Steven Dean Gordon entered the pleas on Monday in Santa Ana.
Authorities say data from the GPS monitors helped them link the pair to the slaying of a woman whose body was found at an Anaheim trash-sorting plant in March and the disappearance of three women in Orange County last year.
Police say they're also investigating Cano and Gordon in the possible death of a fifth woman.
Authorities say at the time of the deaths, Cano was being tracked by state parole agents while Gordon was tracked by federal probation agents.
