NEW YORK (AP) — Familiar objects like a bench and wind chime will take on new functions at a Public Art Fund installation in downtown Brooklyn.
A temperature-sensitive bench will change colors when a person sits on it.
A seesaw will be activated by buckets of rainwater. A human-scale wind chime can be played.
Artist Sam Falls' works will be featured at MetroTech Commons from July 30 through May 20.
The installation, called "Light Over Time," will also include a large-scale sculpture in the form of a maze.
Falls is a Los Angeles-based artist.
His works can be found in the Museum of Contemporary Art in LA. They're also at the International Center for Photography in New York and other cultural institutions.
