LOS ANGELES (AP) — Hillary Rodham Clinton gets asked all the time if she will seek the White House in 2016. But right now, she's really looking forward to being a grandmother.
That's what the former first lady told a crowd at a Los Angeles awards gala Thursday, when asked about the prospect of having a first grandchild.
Daughter Chelsea is expecting.
Clinton says she's run for president before — she lost the 2008 Democratic nomination to President Barack Obama.
But she says being a grandmother will be new and different.
She says she knows she has a decision to make about 2016 but is "excited" about being a grandmother.
Her remarks came at a dinner organized by the not-for-profit law group Public Counsel.
