SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (AP) — A car went out of control and plunged into a San Bernardino County flood control channel, killing four female occupants.
The 1997 Toyota Camry crashed and burned around 8:30 p.m. Thursday after spinning, striking a railing and then going over the side into the concrete channel.
The Los Angeles Times reports (http://lat.ms/1giHUxD) two of the victims were ejected and the other two were burned beyond recognition in the vehicle.
The California Highway Patrol tells the Times that the car was reported to have been passing traffic at high speed.
The victims have yet to be identified.
