POMONA, Calif. (AP) — Police were investigating a gun attack that left a woman and her brother-in-law dead in the front porch of their Southern California house.
The victims' relatives tell KABC-TV that 53-year-old Bennie Porter and 59-year-old Lafferal Alexander had just returned from the store Friday night, and were sitting on the porch to escape the heat inside their Pomona house when they were shot.
Lula Porter said she heard up to a dozen shots. When she came outside the house, she saw her daughter on the ground.
Lt. Ronald McDonald said investigators don't know the motive of the attack, or who shot the victims.
