LOS ANGELES (AP) — Dozens of arriving and departing flights at Southern California airports have been canceled because of the huge winter storm on the East Coast.
Officials say 46 flights in and out of Los Angeles International Airport had been scrubbed between Thursday and early Friday, affecting more than 5,500 passengers. KNSD-TV in San Diego reports that nearly 20 flights have been canceled at San Diego International Airport due to the storm back east and dense fog on the Southern California coast.
About 1,800 flights were canceled nationwide early Friday, according to the aviation tracking website FlightAware.com. Thousands more were delayed.
